🟪 Pride Patch - Discord Server Rules

Please read and respect these rules. By participating, you agree to abide by them. These rules supplement Discord's Terms of Service.

🌈 Section 1: Respect & Inclusivity

> Be Kind & Respectful: Treat all members with kindness, empathy, and respect, even during disagreements.

> Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech: Absolutely no racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, acephobia, arophobia, intersexism, ableism, xenophobia, religious discrimination, or any other form of hate speech or prejudice will be tolerated.

> Respect Identities: Respect everyone's chosen name and pronouns. Using correct pronouns is mandatory. Intentional or repeatedly careless misgendering or deadnaming is prohibited. We encourage adding your pronouns to your server nickname!

> No Discrimination: Do not discriminate against others based on their sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, or any other personal attribute.

> Listen & Learn: Be open to learning and respectful correction if you inadvertently say something harmful.

💬 Section 2: Content & Conduct

> Use Channels Appropriately: Keep discussions relevant to the designated channel topic. Use spoiler tags (||spoiler||) for potentially sensitive topics or game/media spoilers.

> Keep it Safe For Work (SFW): No NSFW (Not Safe For Work), sexually explicit, overly graphic, or excessively violent content is allowed. This includes text, images, videos, and links.

> No Spamming: Avoid excessive messages, emojis, mentions, images, links, or repeated text (spam). Do not mass-DM users.

> No Harassment or Bullying: Do not engage in harassment, bullying, intimidation, personal attacks, threats, or dogpiling. Respect personal boundaries.

> No Doxxing: Sharing private information about others without their explicit consent (doxxing) is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban.

> Respect Our Community Focus: This is an LGBTQ+ focused space with a foundation in compassion, including for animals. While discussion is welcome, be mindful of this: Avoid promoting or glorifying animal exploitation or cruelty.

> Discussions around veganism/animal ethics should remain respectful and constructive, not disruptive or preachy. Avoid graphic descriptions or images of animal harm.

> No Unsolicited DMs: Do not send unsolicited Direct Messages to members, especially for advertising, harassment, or inappropriate content. Report unwanted DMs to a moderator.

🔊 Section 3: Voice Chat

> VC Etiquette: Be mindful of microphone quality and background noise. Use push-to-talk if necessary. Avoid excessive shouting, interrupting, or talking over others constantly. Mute yourself when not speaking for extended periods. Headphones are required.

> Camera Usage (Webcams): We enjoy seeing members connect via video, but maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for everyone is our top priority. If you choose to use your webcam in voice channels, please adhere to the following:

> Keep it SFW & Appropriate: Your attire, background, and actions on camera must be strictly Safe For Work (SFW) and appropriate for a general audience. This means:

> No nudity, overly revealing clothing, or sexually suggestive content/actions.

> No depiction or presence of illegal activities, substances, or hateful symbols/imagery.

> No lewd gestures or intentionally disruptive behavior.

> Mind Your Background: Be aware of what is visible behind you. Avoid displaying sensitive personal information, anything that could identify your specific location, illegal items, offensive materials, or anything NSFW.

> Respect Privacy: Recording or screenshotting anyone's video feed without their explicit, enthusiastic consent is strictly prohibited.

> Moderation: Moderators reserve the right to ask you to turn off your camera if your video feed violates these guidelines, causes discomfort to others, or is disruptive. Failure to comply may result in removal from the voice channel or further moderation actions

🛡️ Section 4: Moderation & Safety

> Respect Moderators: Respect decisions made by the moderation team. If you disagree with a moderator action, discuss it privately and respectfully with them or another moderator via DMs or a designated support channel. Do not argue about moderation in public channels.

> Reporting: Report any rule violations or concerns to the moderation team promptly tagging the staff team. Provide details and evidence (screenshots) if possible.

> Final Note: These rules are designed to foster a positive community. They may be updated as needed. Moderators have the final say in interpretations and enforcement, which can range from warnings to temporary mutes, to permanent bans, depending on the severity and frequency of violations. Use common sense and help us make the Pride Patch an amazing place to be!
